The LEGO Enterprise History

The history for the LEGO provider begins in 1932 the moment Ole Kirk Christiansen, a Danish carpenter, decided to begin a business selling his wooden toys door to door in his town of Billund, Denmark. He named his new company “Lego” — a combination of two Danish thoughts, “leg godt, ” which supposed “play very well. ”

In 1958, the company’s founder, Godtfred Kristiansen, trademarked a system for coupling the plastic stones that would eventually become generally known as LEGO “Automatic Joining Bricks. inch The invention allowed LEGO to make more diverse and complex toys.

From there, LEGO broadened it is offerings and began to compliment both kids. It unveiled a line of “Minifigures” in the mid-1970s that integrated human characters with posable arms, and in addition marketed rings sets with regards to young girls.

A further expansion in 1979 saw the introduction of LEGO Space sets, a review of astronaut minifigures, rockets and spaceships, between other popular themes. In 1999, the LEGO Group entered the Star Wars market, launching places featuring the X-wing mma fighter and LINK Fighter.

Seeing that the company grew, it required to increase it is ability to release new products quickly and proficiently. To this end, it appointed management agent Jorgen Vig Knudstorp.

This individual helped this company cut down on products on hand and reduce creation time. He encouraged the organization to build associations with key toy corporations, including Goal, Wal-Mart and Toys ‘R’ Us.

This individual also brought in LEGO Strategies, an online community where followers could put up plans for new Lego sets that they wanted to watch produced. This kind of allowed SEGLAR to test view the appeal of new tips and gain feedback prior to committing to all of them.
